PROGRAM:
DAY1:
 

> 09:30am departure by hydrofoil from MilazzoPort to Volcano
 

>Arrival inVulcano, reach the hotel indicated. Allocation of reserved rooms.
VULCANO TREKKING
Meeting with the Volcanological Guide for information on the route to follow to reach the summit of Great Crater of the volcano 391m. s.l.m., clothing check, shoes and water supply.
The total duration of the climb is about 2 hours and 30 minutes. It starts from Porto Levante for advancing in the path lined with green broom and soil from the sandy black bottom, formed by ash and lapilli. The first feeling is that of being in a setting of Dante's inferno, similar to the lunar surface. As you go up you will present to your eyes a wonderful panorama with the vision of Vulcanello, Monte Saraceno, Porto Levante, Ponente and the port of the island of Lipari.
After a few kilometers the soil of the path will take on a reddish color, shortly after you arrive at the fumaroles Plan where you will experience a strong smell of sulfur escaping from fumaroles and before your eyes, in a curtain of heavy smoke and gas that is released from the soil yellow color, appears Crater Mouth. Assisted by the Volcanological Guide, you can go around the crater wearing masks to avoid inhaling the gases sulfur loads.
The show that will be presented will be of indescribable beauty with the view of the Great Crater bottom, huge boulders to "bread crust" and a breathtaking view of the entire archipelago. The descent will follow the same path of ascent.

TIPS: in Summer avoid climbing during the hottest hours, temperatures can reach up to 40 °, the path even smoother and easier, it does not have many shady places. We recommend climbing in the late afternoon.

DAY 2:
8:00am Breakfast. Leave the rooms.
Reach the port of Levante for boarding on scheduled hydrofoil to the island of Stromboli.
 
STROMBOLI TREKKING
Arrival at the port of Stromboli, reaching the Residence to take possession of the room reserved.
In the early afternoon meeting with the Volcanological Guide for information on the type of route that you will follow to get to the top of the volcano Stromboli. The climb on Stromboli craters is one of the most exciting experiences you can live. The climb to Stromboli is not a simple walk and then we do not recommend the climb for people with asthmatic problems, heart patients and those who suffer from vertigo because the trails are steep in some places with high temperatures in the summer months.

The Stromboli volcano is the most active in the world, and is monitored 24 hours to 24 hours. Access to the volcano is regulated by the Department of Civil Protection, the groups can not exceed more than 20 participants. Departures are between 15.30 hours and 17.30 seconds the period. It takes about 3 hours for the ascent and 2 hours for the descent. During the course stops of 15/20 minutes, the residence time on top of the volcano on the top of the crater can vary from 30 to 45 minutes.

For climbing Stromboli you must wear hiking boots, wear a sweater, wind jacket, long pants, put in a backpack: 2 t-shirts, handkerchiefs to protect themselves from the fumes and dust, 1 liter of water and a flashlight with alkaline batteries.
Important during the climb to not leave the group led by the Volcanological Guide.
For safety reasons, the Volcanological Guide reserves the final decision depending on weather and environmental conditions, equipment and physical condition of the individual walkers. Our guides are part of the Regional College of Alpine Guides and Volcanology Sicily.
